Enabling Process

Our Company has valuable expertise in getting early involvement in the design of the watermains rehabilitation packages. Through carefully selected site investigation, establishing rehabilitation drivers including; structural, hydraulic and water quality. Technique Selection can be selected to give the best cost effective engineering solution to each scheme on the rehabilitation package to overcome its restraints. Restraints can include traffic sensitive roads, critical costumers, establishing two way flows on the distribution network, special reinstatement requirements and other works planned for the area. All these restraints will be identified in the enabling process. Often Contractors arrive on site and none or only some of these restraints have been identified which can cause delays. The majority of enabled watermains rehabilitation packages have achieved over 85% sustainable lo dig techniques (pipe bursting, HDD, slip lining, roll down, moiling). Therefore, value engineering leads to happier clients and creates good working relationships.

Pre-Chlorination Process

Using pre-chlorinated PE HPPE coils for pipe bursting and HDD has provided the following benefits;

– Customers back- in service on same day (100m)

– One shutdown, no stringers

– Majority of work done in working hours

– Achieved in 8hr shutdown

– Minimise social disruption

Wateresq is in the position to provide technical knowhow and assist to get pre-chlorinated pipe approved to be used in the installation of watermains for local water authorities/companies and council/districts.
